Holleran Award 2022

“People want to live where people love to work.”

Westerwood is a “Choice Community” Award winner for 2022 and 2020.

“This shows that we have been recognized as one of the most engaging senior living organizations across the nation,” said a Westerwood representative. “Thank you to all of our amazing residents and team of employees who filled out the survey.”

Community Choice

Holleran Consulting awards this recognition. They have the largest benchmark of its kind, measuring both resident and employee engagement in the senior living space. Currently, the benchmark comprised more than 125,000 resident and employee independent living surveys, from nearly 400 organizations across 38 states, all completed within the last three years.

Cheers for 2022

Learn More About Westerwood.

We are Hiring

Westerwood has been voted a top workplace for seven years running by our employees and Columbus CEO magazine. Westerwood is a friendly community of vibrant seniors living their best lives on a wooded 23-acre campus.

Our team members are more than employees; they’re family. In fact, many of our team members have been with us for years. We’re proud of our low turnover rate compared with other senior living communities because it speaks to our friendly, supportive and engaging community culture. Here, you’ll be well-trained and receive the kind of experience that will help you advance in your career or work life. Also, we believe in hiring and promoting within as much as possible.

As a nonprofit community governed by an independent board of directors, we offer competitive pay and benefits based on the applicant’s experience. Team members are hired for character and retained for skill.

Meet our Team

Our staff-to-resident ratio exceeds Ohio’s staffing recommendations, meaning we attract and retain service-minded, well-trained care team members who embrace our residents with warm hospitality. Members are hired for characters and retained for skill. Many of the friendly faces you’ll see around campus have been with us for years.

What is a Life Care Community?

Nonprofit Life Plan communities (also known as Continuing Care Retirement Communities CCRCs) offer people aged 60 and older a full continuum of care and a great lifestyle, all under one roof. But what’s the difference between a Life Plan and Life Care community? Simply put, a Life Care Community is a Life Plan community that offers protection against future healthcare costs

Having a Life Care contract allows you to enjoy retirement without worrying about the “what-ifs?” in life, while affording you more control over your financial future. While you can always choose to live at Westerwood without a Life Care contract, having a contract in place helps protect against the cost of future health care needs so you can embrace your physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness to its fullest.
