An enriched life is a well-lived life.

So much to do, see, and experience—all in one place.

At Westerwood, you’ll enjoy engaging friends and experiences. Our campus is your canvas—you’ll find everything you need to create a life you’ll love on a 23-acre wooded campus.

Resident-driven programs. Our residents drive our life-enrichment programming and social life. This is your community, so you should have a say in what “enrichment” means to you. Want to start a particular interest group? We’ll support you to make it so.

Make some music. Music takes center stage here. Our community music groups, The Village Singers and Chimes, rehearse together and perform for residents. And a few residents have started a rock band.

Movies. Enjoy Monday Night at the Movies with popcorn and laughs with your friends.

Spiritual. Our on-site Chaplain offers nondenominational services and weekly vespers services, a transition support group, guidance, meditation and prayer groups and observances and programming for Advent, Lent and Hanukkah.

Woodshop. Our professional woodshop is outfitted with all the tools you need to build something beautiful.

Westerville Senior Center. Need a pool for swimming or water aerobics? Want to take dance lessons? Love a good card game? Westerwood has close ties to the Westerville Senior Center for even more recreational opportunities.

Arts Studio. Explore our full-scope arts studio, complete with craft materials, and kiln, and an Art Coordinator to guide projects and offer classes. We offer pottery, painting, photography, basket-weaving, and many other arts and crafts.

Live events, right here. While we had to postpone this while COVID-19 was at its peak, we are slowly getting back to enjoying more than 120 on-site concerts, programs, performances and lectures annually, just steps from your door.

Read & Write & Share. You’ll find plenty of avid readers at our book club, and our creative writing group shares their prose at the Village Writers Group. Plus, we have an extensive in-house library, and monthly visits from the Westerville Public Library.

Gardening. Request an elevated garden or ground-level plot to grow whatever you choose. Our gardening club works together to share ideas and best practices.

Otterbein University’s Lifelong Learning Community. As a resident, you’ll have access to a yearlong menu of workshops, lectures, social opportunities and mini-courses at Otterbein University. Topics include art, history, health, well-being, book groups, environmental and social issues. Learn more about our collegiate connections.
