Otterbein University | Westerwood

Many of our residents have deep connections to Otterbein University and Ohio State University. And so do we!

The Westerwood campus feels like a small, wooded college campus with large mature trees, manicured grounds, and scenic areas to sit, read, and talk with friends. Plus, there’s always a class to take, a skill to learn, or a party to attend—but never a test to take!

Otterbein/OSU alumni

More than a few retired OSU and Otterbein alumni call Westerwood home.
As a community of lifelong learners and avid readers, our residents are actively engaged and constantly curious about life and the world around them. Among our resident population, you’ll find retired or semi-retired academics, teachers, engineers, writers, medical professionals, and a number of accomplished individuals from a wide-range of fields and businesses.

Our school spirit is alive and well at Westerwood. Besides cheering for our favorite college teams on the big screen TV, some residents attend live sporting events together on the OSU and Otterbein campuses. We’re proud to say several university VIPs have chosen to live at Westerwood, including a previous athletics director from Otterbein. Our proximity to Otterbein University and OSU makes us the perfect place to live while staying close to the people and places that are close to your heart.

Proud to be an Otterbein University Lifelong Learning Community. As a resident, you’ll have access to a yearlong menu of workshops, lectures, social opportunities and mini-courses at Otterbein University. Topics include art, history, health, well-being, book groups, environmental and social issues.
