Respite stays | Westerwood

Need a break? Schedule a Respite Care stay with Westerwood.

Being a full-time caretaker can feel overwhelming at times. Balancing the rest of life and taking care of your needs can be difficult when caring for a loved one.

At Westerwood, we understand these challenges and we want to help you when you need it with a scheduled respite stay at Westerwood Rehabilitation and Assisted Living. Whether it’s for several days or a few weeks, we can accommodate your loved one’s 24/7 care needs with our experienced, compassionate team.

The Westerwood Rehabilitation provides short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and respite stay options with a choice of private or semi-private rooms. The center is Medicare and Medicaid certified and exceeds state staffing requirements for nursing aides.

Westerwood has earned a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which assesses nursing care communities on quality of care and staffing guidelines. With registered nurses on staff and a physician on call at all times, expert resident care is our top priority.

Person-centered respite care on your terms.

Quality care is more than medicine, equipment, and procedures. It also encompasses compassion, a commitment to service and positive relationships built on communication. Our skilled nursing team follows this guiding question: “How can we make your day the best day possible?”

Person-centered care means treating residents like people, not patients. Combined with rigorous medical practices and one of the highest staff-to-patient ratios in the state, we deliver on that promise with excellent long-term skilled nursing care.

Nationally recognized, award-winning care in Westerville.

We’ve developed effective approaches to improve performance and health care outcomes through progressive programs such as the American Health Care Association (AHCA) and National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) National Quality Award Program, which honors long-term and post-acute care providers that have demonstrated their commitment to improving the quality of care for seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Moreover, we earned the 2019 Bronze—Commitment to Quality Award from the AHCA/NCAL. For context, only 590 skilled nursing care centers and assisted living communities across the nation received the Bronze Quality Award in 2019.
