We all need a little TLC from time to time. The short-term rehabilitation program at Westerwood offers highly skilled, short-term services to residents and the community. Depending on your medical situation, we accept most insurance plans and Medicare.

It’s true. Where you recover can make a difference in how fast you recover and the functionality you regain.

With generous staff-to-patient ratios, you can count on being cared for by a tenured and attentive team who understands your treatment plan and goals. You’ll have weekly visits by a board-certified rehabilitation physician and certified rehabilitation registered nurses (RNs). And because food is medicine, your meals will be tailored to your dietary needs, healthy and delicious every day!

Important: Before undergoing surgery or being discharged from the hospital, be sure to let your case manager know you want to recover at Westerwood Rehabilitation (formerly known as Friendship Village Columbus) as your first choice.

Wound care treatment and management.

The prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers and wounds are another key focus of the health center team that includes a certified nurse practitioner and other members specially trained in wound management. An innovative web-based wound care assessment tool allows medical practitioners to view and monitor wound status remotely to ensure timely treatment and maximize comfort and quality of life for all residents.
